Community Animal Welfare Program

Community Animal Welfare Program

It has been almost a decade, where we have shared our life with the community animals to ensure their welfare. From community dogs to the farms animals who were once traumatised in the slaughterhouses, meat shops, commercial farms are now thriving in our shelter with life full of love, care and support. We have been providing them with the first-ever treatment, rescue, and rehabilitation ever since.

Our journey begins with a telephonic conversation with a kind informer, who calls us to let us know about the injured animals.  We start by reassuring the anxious informer and ensuring the injured animal is kept safe. Then, the treatment team rushes to the place and provides aid and required medication.  The severe ones are rescued immediately. This is how they end up at Sneha’s Care for a while and after their recovery, they are either kept for adoption or released back to community if there’s someone who can take a proper care of their basic requirements.

Similarly, we receive information about the abandoned farm animals, animals that escaped from slaughterhouse, animals offered at the religious places that required medical attention and much more. This is how we have been operating, and with time we have expanded to a big family that incorporates community dogs, cows, buffaloes, sheep, pigs and goats. Primarily, we were completely focused on dogs but we have expanded our arena to Community Dog Welfare, Farm animal welfare, working animal welfare, captive animal welfare and wildlife animal welfare.
