Elephants have been held in captivity for various purposes for tens of years in Nepal for tourism activities. Elephant activities for tourism purpose mainly Elephant Safari and Elephant bathing are mostly held in Chitwan National Park and also started in Bardia National Park. To address the cruelty on Elephants during training and safari operation, Sneha’s Care started the program in 2019 with an objective to free and rehabilitate captive elephants and build a sanctuary where they can live their entire life freely and also to work with primary stakeholders to end those elephant’s centric activities.
