Tikhe
Hi there! I’m Tikhe – the calf with one horn yet the biggest heart!
I was born near a local temple where people would come and go, but no one stayed long enough to care. My mother disappeared when I was still very small, and I was left behind—just a weak, hungry calf in a big, confusing world. At first, the devotees offered me leftover food, but when I grew a little older and started moving around more, they saw me as a disturbance. Some people tied me to a pole with no shelter, others pushed me away when I tried to follow them for food or affection.
One day, I chewed on some plastic bags and old flowers left as offerings—I didn’t know they weren’t food. I just wanted something to fill my belly. I got sick and weak. My tiny legs trembled, but I still tried to walk with pride. That’s when some kind rescuers found me. They gave me fresh food, clean water, and most importantly—love. They saw me not as a disturbance, but as someone worth saving.
I’m friendly, social, and I adore human attention. I’ll trot over the moment I see someone I like, nuzzle them with my nose, and sometimes playfully nudge them with my sharp little horns (don’t worry—they’re just for style). I’ve survived so much, and now I’m living of a safe and happy life. Will you sponsor me so that another calf in need can live the life every calf deserves?
