Rupak Koirala

Mr. Koirala is an environmental advocate with specialization in sustainable toursim and Climate Change adaptation & mitigation. He had a decade of experience working in environment and development sector in Nepal that includes Ministry of Agricultural Development, World Bank & the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal.

Mr. Koirala has performed several researchs on biodiversity conservation, animal welfare, climate change, solid waste management and renewable energy with organizations such as: SWMTSC, LIBIRD and AEPC, UNDP & more. Mr. Koirala has participated in several professional development trainings in Nepal and abroad organized by UNITAR, the Climate Reality Project, GIR, SIDA, South Asia Institute of Advanced Studies, CSE India and others, along with being selected as a GEILI Fellow of Hong Kong. Currently, Rupak serves as the Nepal Country Representative for Green Destinations, General Secretary of Federation of Animal Welfare of Nepal (FAWN) & General Secretary of Outbound Tour Association of Nepal (OTAN).
