Hi, I’m Krishna

Namaste! I’m Krishna – a playful soul with a gentle heart.

Life didn’t begin easy for me. I was born in a place where male calves like me are often seen as unwanted. My mother was taken away too soon, and I was left to figure out the world on my own. I wandered, hungry and scared, waiting for someone to hear me. One day, I found myself near a busy road. I didn’t understand the danger—I just wanted to find my mom. A speeding bike came right at me. I panicked. I leapt to the side just in time, scraping my leg but saving my life. It hurt, but I kept going. Something in me told me not to give up. That’s when a kind soul saw me and stopped. They picked me up gently and gave me the first kindness I’d ever known. I was named Krishna, after the mischievous yet loving god—maybe because I’m full of love, and just a little bit naughty! I love humans. I’ll follow you around for cuddles, lean into your lap, and nuzzle your hand until you laugh. I’m friendly with everyone—goats, dogs, cats, and especially kids. I’ve even been told I’m the “sunshine” of the shelter.
