Hi! I’m Santu – a curious calf with a heart full of hope

I was born in a small village, surrounded by fields of green and the warmth of my mother. But that peaceful life didn’t last long. One day, I found myself abandoned in the middle of a busy market. My mother was taken away, and I was left alone, lost in the sea of people. I wandered the market, looking for food. My stomach growled with hunger, and I tried nibbling on whatever I could find—old scraps, discarded vegetables, anything to fill the emptiness. People would shoo me away, but I kept going. I was desperate to survive.

That’s when someone saw me. They noticed my sad eyes and my tiny frame. They took me in, fed me, and gave me a name—Santu—because, even though I was scared, I was still gentle and kind. Now I’m safe and slowly healing. I love being around people, following them for pats and sometimes, just for a little companionship. I’m learning that love exists even in the most unexpected places.
