Hi, I’m Seru

Hi, I’m Seru. I am old now and I might seem a little shy at first, and honestly, I’m still figuring out how to fully trust humans again. I want to believe in kindness, and I hope one day I’ll be able to open my heart completely. I like it when you gently come beside me and pet me, give me love and help me regain my trust slowly.

My story isn’t an easy one to share. It’s quite terrifying actually. My owner put me in a jute bag and tried to end my life by beating me with a stick. I swear I did nothing to him but still he had the heart to punish me to death. I was terrified, hurt, and so confused. But in that dark moment, someone heard my cry and decided I deserved a second chance. I remember nothing after that moment. The next time I opened my eyes, I was being cared for. The amazing team at Sneha’s Care rescued me, gave me medical care, and most importantly, showed me love—the kind of love I had never felt before.

This happened back in May 19, 2017 and I’m still healing, both inside and out, but every day I’m learning to trust a little more.
