CTVT case in Pulchowk

CTVT first emerged in a dog that lived about 11,000 years ago. All CTVT tumours carry the DNA belonging to this “founder dog”.CTVT is spread by the physical transfer of living cancer cells between dogs. This usually occurs during mating, but CTVT may also be transferred by licking, sniffing or parturition. The only precaution of CTVT is to spay/neuter a dog.

We get many cases of CTVT reported and this case was reported by Rose Shakya from Pulchowk, Lalitpur. Our team was there for the dog and chemotherapy was given to him. Regular follow up will be done for ensuring his recovery.
