Flashback December 2017

And here we come to the end of December and the beginning of a very new year, 2018. This was a very engaging month for our team. We tried to reach every nook and corner as possible within Kathmandu valley for the rescue as well as the treatment of street dogs and other animals. We attained cases of hit & run, CTVT, brutal attack by people, skin disease, injuries, wound, dogfight, tumor, calcium deficiency, eye injury, malnourished and many others. Not only dogs but we also did the treatment of calves who were injured, wounded and weak. Turning back to the month, we did a total of 44 rescues and 73 on the spot treatment. We also went for follow up of few cases. Not to forget, 155 dogs from in

Stop playing with animals' life

No person has got right to intervene the happy life of a street dog. But the case is just opposite. Every day we come across many cases of hit & run where an innocent life has to suffer drastically. She is one of the victims of hit & run. Her front right leg is paralyzed and she cannot walk properly due to that accident. M/s Sangeeta reported us about her from Bijeswori, Kathmandu and our team went there to her rescue. We cannot even say it confidently that she will regain her normal walking ability. But our doctor has not lost hope in treating her and has already started giving some medicines to her. Animals are not things to play with. They have a life like us. No person has right to harm

Sadly, I have Jaundice

I don't feel really bad about being born on the street. But the suffering I have to go through is killing me inside. It's been quite a long time since I have stopped eating anything. There is no appetite at all leading me to turn thinner day by day. To my fortune, M/s Brisikka Das noticed me in the wretched condition on the street of Bhimsengola, Old Baneshwor. She informed Sneha's Care team who came in the next day for my rescue. The doctor at the shelter diagnosed me with Jaundice and severe dehydration. I have seen many dogs at the shelter who seem recovered to me. The doctor medicated me. Donate #SnehasCare #snehacare #SnehaShrestha #AnimalWelfare #Dogs #StreetDog #strays #donations #cha

My miserable story

I am just 3 months old puppy. But the pain I have endured in this short span of life is not as tiny as I am. Born on the street of Harisiddhi, Lalitpur with my other siblings, I was happily playing around with them. But I had never imagined that somebody would pause the joy of my life instantly. A vehicle ran through one of my hind limbs. The pain of being crushed over on the paw of my right hind limbs is unbearable despite the fact that I have been bearing this calmly. Broken bones can be easily seen through my wound. It had been 3 days when I was lying on the floor with dry grasses when a lady named Nirmala Thapa Malla saw me and informed an organization. Few organizations had denied takin

It's not her fault

She has no fault in being a street dog but why is it that she has to suffer unnecessarily? She was hit by a ruthless and senseless person nearby TU Basketball Ground, Khasi Bazar. M/s Kripa Maharjan reported us about her and we went there to rescue her. She is paralyzed and cannot move her back part resulting in difficulty in walking. We mean how can people just leave her to die after hitting her badly? Okay, we can understand that the accident wasn't intentional but what about correcting the mistake? It's a humble request to you all not to rush leaving an innocent life to suffer. You are not getting anything out of speed. She is under our care and she has to go under physiotherapy for getti

Matted fur in my body

I now feel that living a beautiful life as a dog is next to impossible. One moment I got enormous joy and the very next moment I was abandoned in the street to die. Lack of care of my fur developed disastrous dreadlock. Not only this but I also have wounds on my back. It's terrible to live a life like this. I also had the desire to live in a family and get all the love. But those dreams shattered all at once when my owners threw me out of their house. I don't understand why did they show me hope to live with them when that was a temporary joy. I was roaming around the street of Dhumbarahi in the same manner when the popular singer, Mr. Swapnil Sharma of "The Shadows Nepal" encountered me in

Let's pray for speedy recovery

His case came to us when M/s Aagya Bajracharya reported us a few weeks back. Consequently, our team went there for on the spot treatment. We figured out that he cannot recover in the street when M/s Dio Rai also made a report of him a few days back. Thus, our team rescued him from Hattiban, Lalitpur, near Samiti Bhawan so that he can recover in front of our eyes. We just wonder why people hesitate to give new life to an amiable dog like him. Our doctor has already started proper line of medication. Our finger is crossed and we hope for his quick heal. Found in a terrible state

The world is turning worst day by day. This mom dog was badly hit by a bike right in front of the eyes of Mr. Sarthak Upadhyaya at Balkumari. He couldn't catch the cunning person but he informed us immediately. Without further waste of time, our team went there for rescuing her. We are getting goosebumps just by watching her tolerate the searing pain in a calm and composed manner. Our vet gave her fluid therapy and did dressing on her wound. Only the x-ray can decide the kind of surgery to be performed on her for which we are taking her to the lab today. No end to hit & run

It seems like the end to hit & run case is almost impossible. This adorable puppy was hit by a vehicle at Thimi, Bhaktapur. The coward hit him and ran away without looking back to correct his mistake. Fortunately, Mr. Niranjan Chhunju saw him and reported about him to us and took care of him before we reached there. We x-rayed him and found tibia and fibula fracture of his right hind limb, and tuberosity fracture. Poor baby! he has suffered till hell. He is scared to be touched by people due to that senseless person's carelessness. We hope to get him back to normal but for that, he has to go under surgery. A congenial furry

She is none other than a congenial furry who loves to hang out with people. She understands the eyes with love and affection. That is why it became easy for us to rescue her from the street of Swayambhu when Miss Aisha Sayami reported us about her. Sadly, she has one form of an eye tumor namely Glaucoma. Our doctor is observing her and soon she will go under her eye surgery to get rid of that stupid tumor. We hope she gets to live a normal life again with the same amount of bubbliness that she possesses now. Finally rescued

We talk about kindness every day but why cannot some people not shower genuine love to animals. This furry was encountered by Mr. Rimon a week back opposite to Blue Cross Hospital, Dasharath Rangashala, Tripureshwor. The person's number he gave us was unanswered the next day. Still, our team went there. Unfortunately, they had to return with the unexpected result as the local denied seeing such a dog. On the third day, Mr. Rimon himself went there and helped us rescue the dog. Well, thanks to him for his time and effort. The wound on the puppy's hip portion is severe. She must have been suffering a lot. It was difficult to spot her but now she is under our doctor's treatment. Donate #SnehasC

It is rather late than never

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra" by Jimmy Johnson. Yes, these are an exceptional group of students from St. Xavier's College, Maitighar. They visited us on 1st December 2017 for showering love to our kids. These enthusiastic group of boys and girls saved every penny possible out of their pocket money and bought Shampoos and Sacks for our furry friends. Their kind heart led them to be among the group of distinct students. It's the determined group of students like them who will prove to be the true leaders of the country in the days to come. They not only donated us the necessary items but also spent quality time with our kiddos. They took few of our dog

Love, Care and Support

"A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money"- John Ruskin. Yes, we never feel it's enough however rich we are. Even a millionaire is thriving for more and never satisfied with what he has. So, why not bestow some earning for the voiceless. Mr. Mario Jigme Wangyal is among those generous people who feel for animals. He donated Rs 15,864 as a Christmas gift for our furry friends. He sent the money right away from Canada giving up the Christmas party. He is a living legend who think that animals also have feelings and need our love, care, and support. This contribution will help us feed our dogs for 3 days. Thank you, Mr. Mario, for your tenderness an

A dog never complains

If you compare your life with that of a street dog, you will never complain about yourself even if you can just afford two times meal and a roof to cover your head. By this you can imagine how hard it is being a dog who has to spend life on street. This lad was lying on a ground of Imadol, Lalitpur starving for food with extreme skin disease. He was eating as if he has never seen any food in life. Poor baby! We were reported about him by Ms Pratima. Our team didn't waste time and went for his rescue. Humanity at a dead end

The humanity is at a dead end. Why bother an innocent life who has the ability to forgive you for your every crime? The dog is not a thing. He has a heart that's bigger than yours and he does feel the pain. This furry was purposely pierced with some sharp object on his thorax region. As a result, he was bleeding heavily from his wound. Being encountered by Mr. Ajanta Maharjan at Patan Sundhara, we, immediately sent our team for his rescue. Poor boy! must have been in intense pain even though the wound is small. He was given necessary medicines by our vet. He will be fine and will easily forget the evil misbehave on him. But surely, there will be an imprint on him which will never leave the s

God helps those who help themselves

There is a famous saying, " God helps those who help themselves." True indeed! He lost one of his legs when he was a puppy. But he never felt weak nor he blamed anyone for him being a misfortunate street dog. But the whole sky is not stopping to fall on him. He was reported by Mr. Avash Pandey from ICIMOD, Dhapakhel. Our team went there and it was easy for us to spot him as he always stays around the premises of ICIMOD. We are very tired of the ruthless acts of some people who feel pleasure in hurting animals. An ill-minded person hit him with either stone or rod in the center part of his head. Still, due to his good nature, he doesn't complain. He was treated by us and after the treatment,

Be responsible not to hurt an animal

Most of us don't know that if we say some foolish things to a dog, he will not criticize us instead say, "Wow! I would have never thought that". Then why do we not feel it essential to be careful not to hurt him? Time and again we mention about torture to dogs. Yet again this mini girl was hit by a vehicle in between Kaushaltar and Gathaghar. Many turn their head away seeing her. But Mr. Prakash Bhusal kindly informed us about her. We went there for rescuing her. Today, she is with us. We have been giving her necessary treatment along with keeping her in the wheelchair sometimes to make her walking habit. But the misery is that she is paralyzed and her spinal cord is broken due to which she

Keep rescuing animals

"Keep rescuing animals. You may lose your mind but you will surely find your soul."- Anonymous. Yes, she was rescued not long ago when M/s Pooja reported us about her degrading condition from Banasthali. Our team went there and found the necessity to rescue this mom. At the shelter, our doctor gave her necessary medication for few days and finally, she is recovered. Her energy level is regained. As a result, she plays around like she has never played. Plus her friendly nature allures us. Most of her babies were adopted by some animal lovers already. It feels accomplished when we have recovery stories to share. Endear a dog with full heart

If you endear a dog with full heart, you will know that all he wants is to see you happy despite the critical condition he is going through. So, why turn away from a dog when he is in need of you. This fella was encountered by M/s Lobsang at Jorpati with a severe wound on his eye. The wound is very accurate. A kind human would get terrified and feel the need to help him out. Our team was reported to him and we went there for his treatment. We gave him all the necessary treatment and we are again visiting him in few days.
