Snehatheeram, “Shore of Love”, was started in January 2004. It started to function as a resource centre for PLHA and their families providing psychological, emotional and spiritual support, information about treatment options and prevention of the spread of HIV/AIDS. Special attention is given to changing the attitude of society as to bring down the harshness of social stigma of HIV/AIDS by awareness campaigns. Now it has grown into a full fledged Community Care Centre which has the facility to render Inpatient care for 35 PLHAs. |
