To formally state the relationship between SCT and ORBIT, a Grant Agreement was signed on 15th April, which meant the official start of the Project.
A personal file is being created for each beneficiary, which will contain details about profile of the beneficiary, the activity to be taken up, signed agreement by the beneficiary and repayment of funds. To keep maximum control over the funds and make sure that the money is spent on the intended activity, the purchasing of the tools and equipments will be done with the assistance of ORBIT Outreach Workers. As soon as the purchase is over, the activity will begin. The beneficiaries have to sign the agreement which states all details about the repayment and monthly meetings. Once the equipments are procured and handed over to the beneficiaries, a progress evaluation meeting will be conducted every month, which will be attended by all the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries will report about the progress they made in the previous month. SCT will be providing programmatic, technical and financial support to ORBIT as and when a need arises.
The first step of the project is progressing at a fast pace. It is expected that, within one month all the beneficiaries will be equipped with the tools and equipments required for their livelihood activity to start. Once the pilot implementation is over, SCT will be extending the project to other CCCs, based on its progression and evaluation.
