RAINBOW-09 Rainbow-09,the Summer Camp for the HIV infected children was held from 4th to 8thMay, 2009 at Snehadaan campus, Bangalore. There were 68 participants from 4 differentcentres namely Sneha Care Home, Snehasadan, Jeevadaan and Infant Jesus ChildrenHome. The major attraction of the summer camp was nothing but a fantasticperformance by the famous rock-band named motherjaneheld on 5th evening, which added more colour to Rainbow -09. The other activities include visits, groupactivities, magic show, cooking class, craft etc. Bangalore School SportsFoundation conducted organised games for the children on every evening. Therewere also certain informative sessions on topics like hygiene, ART etc. forspecific age groups. The summer camp, no doubt, has helped the children towiden their horizons. It has helped them to get to know each other, learn frompeer group etc. It has paved the way for building self esteem and selfconfidence through drawing, singing, other group activities etc. Children not onlyhad fun and merrymaking during these days but some informative sessions aswell. Rainbow -09 is just through and children are looking forward to Rainbow -10. |
