St. Gregorios Dayabhavan is a registered society under Karnataka Societies Registration Act.1960. The society functions under the guidance of Indian Orthodox church mission board. The society is involved in the health care activities mainly in the realm of People living with HIV/AIDS. Dayabhavan has developed a response on three different dimensions to the malaise of HIV/AIDS in society – Awareness, Rehabilitation and Care & Support.
We believe in the comprehensive approach to help people regain their health and dignity. Community Care Centre is giving care and support to people infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. Here we provide palliative care, Counselling, Medical management, Nursing care, personal care and Nutritional support. At Present we have the facility to accommodate ten patients. We link patients for ART and give TB medicine through RNTCP. We have adopted children who are affected by HIV/AIDS and provide them hope in life. At present we have 30 children. They are pursuing their education in nearby School. For providing health care to the economically backward people living around Dayabhavan, a Free health clinic was started at Dayabhavan premise. We have extended our service to more than 1500 patients through this clinic. A new Laboratory is set up to diagnosis Malaria, TB and other complications related to HIV. Dayabhavan has a Multi-Disciplinary team dedicated to work in the field of HIV/AIDS. |
